International High School of Sarajevo, (IHS) , is a private educational institution run by Bosna Sema, founded in 2010 with the aim to contribute to and enhance the educational system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. IHS has signed the Protocol on cooperation with the Federal and Cantonal Ministries of Education. This institution was founded in 1998 and it is classified into a big world family of more than 350 such and similar institutions all over the world. Since its inception, IHS has the tradition of organizing and housing cantonal level Mathematics, Physics, Informatics competitions, and International Physics Projects Competitions. ISS has also been the host for the Competition in English of the primary schools of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As IHS, we pride ourselves for having dynamic and experienced teaching staff who has gained their knowledge and experience at prestigious universities from around the world. IHS gives full contribution to the harmonization of Bosnian education with the European standards. Our students acquire their knowledge in modern equipped classrooms and laboratories according to the latest European and world standards. The students have facilities for wide range of free activities at their disposal, complemented with various programs and all that under the supervision and care of their tutors. ISS has mixed classes (boys and girls), each class having maximum 24 students. IHS offers special tutors for mathematics, physics, social sciences, and languages (English and Turkish) to prepare them for national and international competitions. Talented competition students are offered scholarships. IHS is an English medium school.
